Board Announces Important Updates for 2026 Renewal Cycle

New Requirement for the 2026 Renewal Cycle

All renewing appraisers must complete 28 hours of Board-approved continuing education during the current two-year renewal cycle.

The required education includes:

  • 7-Hour USPAP Update Course
  • 7-Hour Valuation Bias and Fair Housing Laws and Regulations Course

ASC Audit Documentation Requirement

To comply with Appraisal Subcommittee (ASC) audit requirements, all renewing appraisers must submit copies of all continuing education completion certificates with their renewal application.

This requirement applies even if the courses are already reflected in LREAB records.

Failure to provide required documentation may delay renewal processing.

Before logging into MyLREAB Portal to begin your renewal process, make sure you have:

  • Completed 28 hours of Board-approved continuing education
  • Completed the required 7-Hour USPAP Update Course
  • Completed the required 7-Hour Valuation Bias and Fair Housing Laws and Regulations Course
  • Gathered copies of all CE completion certificates
  • Have payment information available
