The Louisiana Real Estate Appraisers Board biennial renewal period opens October 1 of each year.

There are two ways to renew – online or by paper submission. To expedite the processing of your renewal and the issuance of your license, certificate, or registration, we recommend that you take advantage of the online renewal process. Online renewals are easy to complete and you can pay via credit card or ACH through our secure processing system. Visit the MyLREAB Portal to begin the renewal process.

Do Not Submit Continuing Education Certificates Prior to Renewal

All appraisers must upload all of their education certificates in one PDF for online renewals and copies if mailing in for the renewal process, regardless of whether they have previously submitted them or if they appear in the portal. Certificates are required to ensure timely renewal processing and compliance with ASC audits.

Renewal Period Deadlines

In order to be considered on time, renewals must be received or postmarked on or before December 31, 2025. Renewals completed after this date will be subject to the following delinquent fees:

- Timely Renewal Period: October 1, 2025 - December 31, 2025
- First Delinquent Renewal Period: January 1, 2026 - February 15, 2026 ($25 delinquent fee) ($150 delinquent fee for AMCs)
- Second Delinquent Renewal Period: February 16, 2026 - June 30, 2026 ($100 delinquent fee) ($300 delinquent fee for AMCs)

Please note: Courses completed to satisfy your real estate license CE requirements will likely NOT count toward your appraisal CE requirement. If you wish to submit non-approved courses for review, you must do so prior to renewal. Courses will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Please email the course description and course certificate to appraisal@lreab.gov or mail them to the Board office.

Be Sure to Update Your Contact Info

During the renewal period, the LREAB will use email communication to disseminate important renewal information regarding your license. Make sure your contact details are updated in your MyLREAB Portal to avoid missing critical information.
